When you grow up in homes by the lake and villas in the forests – living 24/7 in a busy city like Paris can sometimes be overwhelming. That’s why I wanted to share with you guys an amazing hidden place in Paris that will take you straight back to your roots if you’re a nature child like me.

If you’re feeling blue and looking for a little green – this is the place to go. Although few Parisians know about it, on sunny days it’s often bound with people. Bikers, skaters and plant lovers all take a rendez-vous in this secret location.

What more can I say, 5 km of pure relaxation whilst meandering down the trail and discovering the gorgeous flowers that grow all along. Definitely not one to miss this summer!

Let me start by saying that, when you live in less than 20 meters squared in the heart of Paris, it’s pretty much impossible to stay home on the week-ends... and last saturday morning I felt particularly claustrophobic in my little studio.

So came the idea of an early morning field trip - Destination « Musée Guimet ».

Immediately when you first walk in, you are greeted by an immense Buddha statue – and that pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the exhibition. Every piece of sculpture has an amazing history behind it and it’s all explained beautifully.

The detail put into the art is mind-blowing. Seriously you have to see it to believe it. Even more spectacular is the play with lights – The way in which they present each piece is really spot on. Specialised in Asian art, your change of scenery is guaranteed!

So if you’re up for a spiritual morning, it’s the place to be. You won't regret spending some time there -->  6 place d'Iéna, Paris 16ieme

Lately I’ve been looking for some inspiration for some creative projects I’ve been working on. Needless to say, you don’t have to look far to find that kind of inspiration in Paris.

On one of most popular shopping streets in Paris, you just might walk right past this little sanctuary of art. In fact, I’ve missed it a few times – and that’s embarrassing.

Why ? Let’s just say there’s a huge rainbow door, a shooting bubble pistol and a zebra at the entrance…

Anyways, a few dozen crafters display their art for all to see. Free entrance to visit reals studios! You even get to meet the artist in the flesh and get to know them over some free snacks!
Best place to feed your creative soul !

The 19th of February was the official new beginning of the Chinese calendar. It’s goat year now! Whoop whoop! But wait, what does that actually mean?   Well there is a lot of amazing history and tradition behind each Chinese zodiac… but, to most Parisians, it means… just another occasion to celebrate and have a good time!

And that’s a great way to start the holiday! This week-end in Paris will be fully scheduled with dragon parades, Asian spectacles and Chinese fireworks! Today the first parade took place right near my home! It was really spectacular!

So if you haven’t actually stuck to your resolutions that you planned to keep last month… this is your second chance to start fresh! This year, the Chinese predict a future full of “promise and prosperity”.

The next parades will be this Sunday, February 22nd! Make your way to Belleville around 11 :00 am and then rendez-vous in the Chinese quarters around 13 :00 o’clock!

See you there!
