Let me start by saying that, when you live in less than 20
meters squared in the heart of Paris, it’s pretty much impossible to stay home
on the week-ends... and last saturday morning I felt particularly claustrophobic in my
little studio.
So came the idea of an early morning field trip - Destination « Musée Guimet ».
Immediately when you first walk in, you are greeted by an
immense Buddha statue – and that pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the exhibition.
Every piece of sculpture has an amazing history behind it and it’s all
explained beautifully.
The detail put into the art is mind-blowing. Seriously you
have to see it to believe it. Even more spectacular is the play with lights –
The way in which they present each piece is really spot on. Specialised in Asian art, your change of scenery is guaranteed!
So if you’re up for a spiritual morning, it’s the place to
be. You won't regret spending some time there --> 6 place d'Iéna, Paris 16ieme
