BELGIUM

I’m back in Belgium since a few weeks and have been dying to let you in on my brand-new discoveries. This first place is one of my favourites! It’s a lovely venue to spend a sunny afternoon.

The “Royal Gardens” definitely deserve their name if you ask me. Never have I seen such immaculate lawns in my life… and the terrain is just huuuge!

After following the path for a few moments, you’ll fall upon several green houses that are just as majestic – inside and out. You’ll come across plants you never knew existed, pass through corridors lined with bright flowers and finally, you’ll find yourself in a re-make of the Congo jungle! How cool is that!?

But that sounds a little too cool to be true doesn’t it… well there is a minor down side… As they say, great things don’t last forever. The gardens are actually only open around 20 days a year during spring. So, unless you’re feeling really patient, get there before you miss it!
