We’ve all heard about the Versaille Palace and it’s grand gardens but when it comes to actually standing in Louis XVI’s foot steps – it gets very impressive.

Walking through the golden gates and then strolling through the garden is already breath taking on it’s own. Every inch of the hedge is immaculately trimmed and the amount of ponds, pools and fountains is really spectacular!

After a long 4 hour walk through the king’s backyard, we made our way into the extravagant halls of the palace. The rooms are ornate with beautiful chandeliers and gold plating is applied on almost everything and anything.

It becomes very clear that those who lived within Versaille lived a life in the lap of luxury…

So who wants to see where Marie Antoinette spent her leisurely hours?
